NayanTara is a photographer and curator based in Kathmandu. Her work seeks to address themes within gender, identity, history and social change. Co-founder of, a photography platform that facilitates learning, publishing, and audience engagement opportunities for photographers. She is also the co-founder of the Nepal Picture Library, a digital photo archive that documents a public history of the Nepali people, and Photo Kathmandu, an international photography festival that takes place every two years.
